Another fun challenge from our friends at zulily – this time we were challenged to chose our top 5 Mom & Baby Essentials from their Welcome Baby Week Sale.  There were so many cute options from which to choose we decided to stick to shades of green (a gender neutral color)  and to chose classic products that really are useful – ok, the matching mommy & me pj’s were just too cute to pass up.

We never thought we would use our moses basket but the fact is all three children ended up spending countless hours in what we originally thought would be a purposeless freebee.  Had we known how convenient having a portable bed would be we would have invested in a cozy basket with a washable liner much like the one featured here.

Pat the Bunny is number 5 on our Top 25 Must Have Children’s Picture Books.  Need we say more?

When Matt & I first heard about baby swings we scoffed  and then Daniel was born.  Not sure we could have made it through the first few months without our baby swing.  The swing generally bought me 5 to 10 minutes a day, just enough time to jump into the shower.

I know, I know every new mom says “I will never forget when my baby … ” smiled for the first time or took his first steps or when she had tear duct surgery.  Sorry to burst your bubble but you really will forget those little details (not the memories, just the dates).  I don’t know how many times over the years I have had to go back to my children’s baby books just to fill out their medical forms.  A baby book is a must have for every mom  especially if she is diligent about keeping it up to date!
