Road Trip Travel Games | Summer Fun
Last Fall Matt and I traveled the Blue Ridge Parkway and splurged, staying a night at the Inn on Biltmore Estate. We also spent a wonderful Gets vacation on Cape Cod at Chatham Bars Inn. And our all time favorite road trip is always up the Pacific Coast Highway. We are still hoping to pack the kids in a van later in the summer and hit the road but having done this once or twice before, we are not leaving without a small sack filled with travel games. Not only do the games serve to pass the time, they also keep us talking, communicating. Years later we still laugh at Izzy’s answer to the question “what kind of car would you most like to be in right now?” Her answer – a powder blue Bentley convertible. Not sure we would all fit. One year Robbie surprised us all with a rollicking version of Barry Manilo’s “Copacabana” . And Daniel never failed to win just about every other travel game including Spot It!, Hangman, and Bingo.
Fidget Spinners & Fidget Cubes
Our friends over at MomMeMatch.com have come up with a few must adds to our travel game basket >> Fidget Spinners and Fidget Cubes! They talk about how their “boys are already planning team vs team battles. Just like they create their own sports team games when they play outside, they are already thinking about the how many variations of fidget spinner games they can create during a 5 hour road trip. Hence, buying a basketful of “just in case” team logo fidget spinners to keep in your car, or to throw in your carry-on bag for a plane trip, can easily amount to hours and hours of quiet, seated fun.” We love it!
Dare to be Great!
