Vienna Walking Tours – A Fabulous Way to Experience the Sights and Sounds of this Beautiful and Historic Austrian City
Matt and I have a new travel passion – guided walking tours. We signed up for our first walking tour in Paris last October to explore the Latin Quarter. We enjoyed the tour so much a few days later we took another walking tour through Le Marais. We love the private access to closed gates and the guides’ willingness to address the hundred questions I toss their way. We love hearing the local fables and the historical facts. For us, a 2 hour to 2.5 hour tour is about right so as we begin planning our trip to Vienna this Spring with Izzy and Paige we are trying to decide whether to book this Vienna City Walking Tour or the Vienna Evening Walking Tour through Viator. (After much research, I narrowed down the choices to 2 tours but just one company!) Both tours get fabulous reviews from past participants and both will give us a great overview of the city as our guide regales us with interesting facts and anecdotes about the food, people, culture, and architecture of this historic Austrian city. We may even learn where we can find the best Wiener Schnitzel, Matt’s main reason for wanting to visit Vienna for his birthday celebration. My gut says book the tour for the evening we arrive so we can immediately begin to assimilate into our new environs. What do you think? We welcome your thoughts, opinions, and insights!
Dare to be Great!
